Independent Country British Commonwealth English Common Law Jurisdiction The Trade Marks Ordinance provides only for registration of trademarks previously registered in the U.K., with extension of identical rights in Grenada. No purely local trademark applications can be filed in Grenada. An action in Grenada for infringement of a U.K registered trademark can only complain of infringement occurring after the date of registration in Grenada. Service marks are registrable in Grenada
but only via an application to extend a U.K registered mark, as above.
No local use or intent to use is necessary. International (Paris Convention)
priority is not available The registration term is coterminous with the
underlying U.K. registration and is renewable for like periods based upon
renewal of the U.K. registration.
Appointment of Agent form requires no witnesses, no notarization and no legalization.
